Hanz de Fuko Claymation

I should also say that I have been using this product for a while so it’s not just something I’ve picked up and given a quick go. I have properly road tested this bad boy and I know what it can do and how I use it.

Hanz de Fuko Claymation is hybrid mens hair product. I mean it’s got more than just one thing in there and you can see that in the ingredients. The ones at the top are obviously the ones that it has the most of. The top two are beeswax and bentonite and bentonite is an impure form of clay and you can see that in the colour. Hanz de Fuko Claymation has that sort of grey clay finish. Also because it’s clay, it gives it the matte finish.

In terms of smell of product, it kind of doesn’t smell of anything. There is a sort of hint of that beeswax, but generally, it’s odourless. Now on the front here, it says Hanz de Fuko Claymation has a super high hold and matte finish and you can see that in the hairstyle that I’ve just done here. We’ve got a good hold, lots of volume in it and it’s got absolutely no shine or gloss. As with all Hanz de Fuko products, it says it’s certified organic and it’s paraben-free. Parabens are those sort of nasty little preservatives that you get in so many products.

If you’re asking me would I recommend this product to you, then I would say yes, I would. I don’t take lightly to recommending products because I know that some things can be really expensive. We don’t have that much money and you don’t want to just be chucking cash at things, but I do think this is a really good purchase. It’s about £16 if you’re in the UK. I’ve put links in the description below so you can check it out. It’s about $17 to $20 if you’re in the US.

As I say, I have been using Hanz de Fuko Claymation for about five to six months and I’ve still got quite a bit left and when I have finished it, I will be buying Hanz de Fuko Claymation again, which if anything is a very positive review for them. Also, people have been asking me what should I use? What should I try? For example, who I sit next to at work said, “My husband is looking for a product. He wants something quite neat to sort of slick his hair back. He’s got shorter hair than you,” you being me. “What should he try?” I said straight away, “Try the Hanz de Fuko Claymation.”

Also, guys, if you’re just getting into doing stuff with your hair and you want to experiment a bit with different hairstyles, this could be the bad boy for you because it is really versatile. You can see that I’ve gone for this sort of slicked back. It’s got this sort of pomp at the front. If your hair’s shorter than mine, then you can sort of tug on it slightly, give it a bit more definition and sort of spike it, but that is the perfect link into getting going in showing you how and what you can do with the product. When you’re ready, let’s go for it.

Now we’re going to get a matte from this product, but if you want to give it a bit of shine, then style your hair when it’s slightly damp to wet and that will just give it a really natural shine. Let’s start. I’m going to use about sort of pea-sized piece. Warm it into my hands. As with all products, you don’t want any lumps. I’m just going to brush it back into the hair just coating it like that and really if you wanted to, then that could be it already because it actually looks pretty good like that. That’s just a case of me pushing it back with my hands just adding volume.

If you want to slick it back, then you can grab your comb and just comb and with your other hand, and neaten up slightly and I’m just going all around the hair. It’s so quick and so easy and this could be a second look for you. Kind of just play with the hair, pull it up with it so it can sort of volumized or you can flatten it. What I like to do is at the end, just run my hands through it just to give it a bit more of a modern twist.

What you can do is you can get your brush. That’s not a brush. That’s a hair dryer. That’s a brush and go for about a medium heat and fast speed, and just work up and through. Just using the brush, curling around and pulling up. Round and up, directing the heat into the hair which helps to set it and also build volume. You can see that obviously with a brush and with a hair dryer, it’s just really built this volume into the front and it’s given this kind of relaxed rockabilly look with this big volume in the front, which we can kind of just play with and I like to keep it really relaxed.

Then if you do want to sort of neaten up a bit, maybe the sides and the back, then just take a tiny bit of product like that into your hands and just kind of tease it back, again, just keeping it quite rough really quick like so. Quite like these bits just kind of like sitting like that and just go and pushing. Guys, this is exactly why I like Hanz de Fuko Claymation so much and why I use it most days. I’m not going for that massive coiffed look because all you need is one product and maybe a comb or a brush and a hair dryer just to build up a bit of volume and give your hair just that movement that you want in it.

Okay now, to get to the actual review of the product, I’m going to show you first on just my dry natural hair. I just got out of the shower, so there’s nothing in it right now. It’s a bit damp, so I’m going to dry it off then I’m going to show you on dry hair, just so you can see what the product can do by itself without any build up of any past products or any preparation.

My first tutorial is going to be the using Hanz de Fuko claymation itself, what can it do in my natural hair? Then my second tutorial is going to be how I would personally use this product if I was going to style my hair with it and the style that I would do, kind of my everyday look, which I’ll show you in a second. As you can see, I’ve got naturally it’s very straight hair and if it’s dry, it’s not fully dry right now, but it’s just very straight and very flat. I’m not sure how well you can tell, but it’s pretty thick. It’s not the thickest hair, but it’s definitely pretty thick.

Just to show you the length, it goes down to here. So kind of just below my eyebrows. It’s not super long right now. It’s definitely shorter on the sides, as you can see. So definitely it’s longer on the top, short on the sides. Just wanted to show that so people know what kind of hair we’re dealing with. All right, so give me two seconds, I’m going to dry my hair and I’m going to be right back.

All right, so I’m back. My hair is completely dry. It’s completely normal. Two quick important things to know about this stuff that might influence your decision. If you’re thinking about buying this, you might want to know these two things. First of all, Hanz de Fuko Claymation has the most unsmelliest smell that I’ve ever smelt ever. What I mean, as in it has no smell at all. There’s nothing there, which is not a bad thing.

Second thing, because it is a clay, and I know not all clays are this way, but this clay in particular, it’s like you’ve got to seriously work it into your hands. I’m telling you it’s not a product that is easily emulsified. You can see what it kind of looks like. It’s pretty hard stuff. I’m going to just take a small scoop. Let’s see. Okay, so I’m going to start with this much right here. It’s not that much, so let me just work that to my hands.

You can kind of see it’s not that easy. You’ve got to seriously press it. All right, now it looks like there’s nothing there as you can see. I’m going to start from the back like you should. This is actually the first time that I’m ever putting it in my hair without anything prepped, without my hair being prepped. So it’s a new experience for all of us.

All right, by the way, I’m not going for any particular style at the moment. I’m just kind of putting it in so you guys can see what it looks like. I’m going to kind of shape it until hopefully I get something I like. You can see it’s starting to get some good hold. That’s the thing about this product also, I guess I should tell you guys, Hanz de Fuko is marketing this product as one of their strongest holding products and they’re pretty serious like this stuff is heavy, so you’ve got to really be careful how much you use because if you use too much, you’re going to weigh your head right down.

Hanz de Fuko Claymation has now been in my hair for, I don’t know, like a minute now and it’s starting to get some good lift. I might want to add just a little bit more because I got pretty dense head of hair as you can see. You can kind of see what’s going on. I’m going to show you just a little bit more. It’s definitely less than the first time. Okay, let’s go back through again.

Then what I like to do with it because I can still feel the product in my hand, I’m just going to completely back on the sides just to get the product in there and then bring it back down again kind of. All right, so just doing some final touch ups and whatnot. There you go, something like that. Alright, so now that you’ve seen what it can do on natural hair, I’m going to go rinse my hair out and then show you how exactly I would use the product if I was going to style my hair like I normally do. So give me two seconds and I’m going to come back.

My hair is now damp, and it’s ready for how I would normally style my hair, how I style my hair pretty much everyday. While my hair is damp, I want to take this moment to tell you how Hanz de Fuko Claymation washes out of your hair because obviously I’ve told you how dense and how heavy and how hard it is to rub through your hand. The first time that I tried this product I was like, “Oh my goodness, it’s never going to come out of my hair.” I was wrong, so that is good.

Hanz de Fuko Claymation actually comes out if you shampoo your hair, it comes out no problem at all. All right, so how I normally style my hair is you got like a modern quiff, that’s kind of what I want to call it, you guys can decide if that’s what you think it looks like. I found that actually the best thing to prep my hair, as strange as this might sound, is a styling glue, so like a glue you know how Got2b glue they’ve got their thing.

This is like a higher quality. It’s called Spiker by … I put this much of glue, all right? This much for my whole head of dampness. I’m ready to blow dry my hair and I’m just going to use a heat protectant because it’s good for you, just you should do it if you’re going to use anything hot.

I’m not going to film the blow drying, but I’m just going to quickly explain what I’m going to do. Since my hair naturally grows kind of this way at the fringe area, I’m going to blow dry it this way so I can get maximum volume. This way and back and then you’ll see what it looks like. Give me two seconds.

All right, so as you can see, I’ve got my hair all prepped. All that I’ve used so far is the tiny dab of glue and some heat protectant and a blow dryer. Now I’m just going to add a little bit of this Hanz de Fuko Claymation to kind of finish it off. As you can see this much, this is as much as I’m going to be using. Okay.

Check it out. I think I’ve reached a happy point, kind of a point of happiness. I’m happy. I’m shaking my hair. It’s still pretty much in place. Of course with any product, you’re going to go through your day, you’re going to go into a restaurant, when you’re washing your hands, you’re going to see your hair and be like, “This looks good over here.” You’re going to fix it and you’re going to be happy again.

Of course, it’s going to be the same. You’ve got a good hold out of this stuff and you can touch it up throughout the whole day. It’s going to end up looking great at night when you’re finished and you’re ready to take another shower, wash your hair, whatever you want to do.

All in all, to sum up, last few words, what do I think of Hanz de Fuko Claymation? I like it. I like the product. It’s the first Hanz de Fuko product that I’ve used. I have here two pots of Hanz De Fuko Claymation. As you can see this pot is completely empty, had a bit round the side obviously but you get what I mean. So I have definitely had my fair share in testing this product out and obviously in the other pot, completely untouched. Okay so the features that Hanz De Fuko Claymation provides is a super high hold and a matt finish. I’ve tested products that have medium hold and even extreme hold. So I can definitely vouch for the fact that this is a super high hold because it’s not quite to the absolute max where your hair is just stiff in that position. It is pliable through the day and that’s where the super high hold comes in, because although it’s pliable, it also stays in whatever position you leave it in. It is also definitely matt, it doesn’t offer any sort of shine or that wet look. So if you’re looking for that sort of natural look, then this product will definitely be good for you.

Next thing is, it is paraben free which means it doesn’t have any of them unnatural nasties in it. It would be very healthy for your hair, so if that’s what you’re looking for to maintain healthy hair, then sort of natural products such as the Hanz De Fuko line, all their products are paraben free, then Hanz De Fuko is definitely the way to go. The product I was using before which is very similar to this was American Crew Fibre, however that was only suitable for when I had shorter hair. As my hair started to grow out it proved that it wasn’t very effective. So I had to quickly look for another product and one product that I saw YouTubers with long hair were using was Hanz De Fuko Claymation. I definitely have to say it worked for longer hair. There are also YouTubers with shorter hair that use this product. So it’s very versatile, in terms of you can use it with whatever hair length and that’s why I absolutely love with this product.

So in terms of pricing Hanz De Fuko who ship worldwide. If you’re like me and you’re not from USA, shipping costs are very expensive and it just adds pretty much double the price to what the product is worth. So I get this shipped just from the UK. Hanz De Fuko Claymation itself is 16 pounds, English pounds. So 16 pounds for a pot this size. Just dropped the product. Hanz De Fuko Claymation still provides that hold and that natural feel, even the day after having applied it. You also don’t need to apply a lot to achieve the features that it provides, so that matt finish and that high hold which is great because obviously quite a small pot like this, you want it to last as long as possible and it does because you don’t need to use a lot.

So in terms of cons about Hanz De Fuko Claymation. I can’t think of many apart from the pricing, that it’s generally more expensive than other products but as I’ve pretty much explained throughout this video it offers a lot more than other products do, so it is worth what your paying for. It is a product that doesn’t have any cons from my experience. I’ve used it as I’ve said for a couple of months now, and there isn’t any sort of distinctive problems with it that I can say. If you’re looking to buy a new hair product I would definitely recommend purchasing this, giving it a go for 16 quid, it’s not too bad and I do actually plan of giving one of these away soon, but that will be on a day where I have a few more subscribers.
